The Circumstances
The NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions needed an independent enterprise Risk Maturity Assessment.
SpencerMaurice was commissioned to update ODPPs Risk Management Framework, develop a risk appetite statement, and update their enterprise risk register, as part of a continuous improvement focus.
The engagement included a program of workshops and one-on-one consultations, to assess the current state, and enable the various functional areas to rapidly understand and provide input into the updated enterprise risk framework.
Once risk maturity assessment and the desired future state maturity level was determined, a series of business improvement opportunities were developed to achieve progress towards the desired future state.
Consulting support was provided to enable the update of the enterprise risk register entries, taking into account the revised framework.
