The Circumstances

The NSW Office of Transport Safety Investigations is the independent body tasked with investigating safety related issues for bus, ferry, and rail services.

SpencerMaurice was engaged to develop an updated risk management framework and business continuity framework.

The engagement included a program of workshops and one-on-one consultations, to assess the current state, and enable the various functional areas to rapidly understand and provide input into the updated enterprise risk framework, and develop a revised business continuity framework and updated business continuity plan.

Once risk maturity assessment and the desired future state maturity level was determined, a series of business improvement opportunities were developed to achieve progress towards the desired future state.

Consulting support was provided to enable the update of the enterprise risk register entries, taking into account the revised framework.
