The Circumstances

NSW Parliamentary Services supports the operations of NSW Parliament. This includes the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly, as well as the support services for the members of parliament.

Significant operations of the department have in the past been funded with grant funding.

SpencerMaurice was commissioned to independently identify and develop evidence-based recommendations to design and test a revised budget and funding model for NSW Parliamentary Services.

The stakeholders involved in the budgetary processes have very complex requirements, and operate in a highly sensitive environment.

• Production of a draft budget which was approved by the Executive team.
